Hello Fitness Enthusiasts!
We are now firmly into 2017, and hopefully you have been to the gym this year. I feel like it’s the right time to discuss everyone’s favorite topic: Gym Etiquette. Gym etiquette isn’t important till it is!
If you don’t agree, you’ve obviously never had your weights or your yoga mat stolen at the gym. And there’s worse things people do at the gym. Today is the day we’re going to discuss all that. So for your safety and well-being, and the sanity of others, here goes nothing!
There are certain things that you expect when you go to the gym, and there are certain things that, when you see other people do them, are absolutely appalling. DON’T BE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE!
That guy that, as soon as you finish your set, takes your weights and moves them to his corner of the gym, or hops on your machine as soon as you turn around.
The guy that sweats profusely all over the equipment and then leaves without wiping anything down. On the same note, don’t leave your weights out or on the equipment and then not put the back where they belong.
That guy that hits on all the women at the gym. Listen, they are there to work out, the same as you. Don’t be THAT guy!
Please, wait until I’m done with my set to ask me questions like “what muscle does that work?” or “how long did it take you to be able to lift that?” I’ll gladly answer you when I’m in between sets or changing weights.
These are just the basics. Rule of thumb: Just act like a reasonable human being, both in and out of the gym; and, when in Rome, do as the Romans do.
That’s all for this week folks. And don’t forget to visit my website at www.FOWFitness.com, and subscribe to my youtube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGMj43mvY7x_fclSSRWyFAA
