Here at Force of Will Fitness, we believe true health and wellness is a lifelong journey, and it starts with learning the right information to help us on that journey. The latest fitness crazes and fad diets might provide temporary results, but only some of them will stand the test of time. We are here to provide you with help in making informed choices about which foods to eat, which exercises to do, and which supplements will help you to reach your goals.
First, it is important to discuss the difference between real, proven methods and anecdotal (“so and so told me,” or “I saw it on TV”) methods. Proven methods are founded in science, or by years upon years of implementation at the professional level. When you use these methods, you will see real, measurable results (ie. weight loss, strength gains) in a reasonable amount of time. Even if you stop, and then resume training or dieting again, you will see the same results again the next time! Most of the time, these methods are not flashy, but they are effective! On the other hand, anecdotal methods are at best wives tales, or at worst, intentionally deceptive marketing tactics employed by companies just to get more of your hard earned money. They may work for some people, but not for others, or they may not work at all. That is not to say that there are proven methods that might be better for one person, or that are not reasonable for a fitness professional to use with everyone, but you and your fitness professional will decide these things at your initial consultation, and many more times as you progress through your health and wellness journey.
Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
